Terms of service
Last updated
These terms apply when you use Hindle, including hindle.app, app.hindle.app and the invitation and RSVP pages we host. By using Hindle, you agree to them.
Hindle is provided by Orexi Tech Limited (“we”, “us”), a company registered in England and Wales (company number 16813109), with its registered office at 3rd Floor, 86-90 Paul Street, London, EC2A 4NE. You can contact us at hello@orexi.co.uk.
Your account
You must be 18 or over to create an account. You are responsible for keeping your sign-in details safe and for activity in your account.
When you add guests, you confirm that you have a genuine reason to contact them about your event and that you are allowed to share their details with us. We handle their information as described in our privacy policy.
Acceptable use
Hindle is for personal events. You must not use it to:
- send spam or messages to people you do not know
- send anything unlawful, harassing or misleading
- upload content you do not have the right to use
- misuse, disrupt or try to get around the security of the service
We may remove content or suspend accounts that break these rules.
Content
You own the content you add to Hindle. You give us permission to use it only as needed to run Hindle for you, such as showing your invitation to your guests.
Hindle itself, including its software, design and brand, belongs to us. You may not copy or resell it.
Payments
Our order process is conducted by our online reseller Lemon Squeezy. Lemon Squeezy is the Merchant of Record for all our orders, which means it takes your payment and handles any sales tax. Lemon Squeezy’s buyer terms also apply to your purchase. For help with an order, contact us at hello@orexi.co.uk.
The price is the one shown at checkout. A price change never affects an event you have already paid for. Refunds are covered by our refund policy.
Availability
We cannot promise Hindle will always be available or free of errors, and we may change or remove features. We recommend keeping your own copy of important details, such as your guest list.
Ending your account
You can delete your account at any time. We may suspend or close your account if you seriously or repeatedly break these terms, or if we stop providing Hindle. Where reasonable, we will give you notice first.
Our responsibility to you
Nothing in these terms affects your legal rights as a consumer, or limits our liability for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, fraud or anything else that cannot be limited by law.
Otherwise, we are not responsible for losses that were not foreseeable, that were outside our reasonable control, or that were caused by email providers, such as a guest’s email being marked as spam. Hindle is for personal use, so we are not responsible for business losses. Our total liability to you is limited to the greater of the amount you paid for the relevant event or £100.
Changes to these terms
We may update these terms from time to time. The date at the top shows when they last changed. We will tell hosts about significant changes before they take effect.
General
These terms are governed by the law of England and Wales, and disputes can be brought in its courts. If you live in Scotland or Northern Ireland, you can also bring proceedings in your local courts. If any part of these terms is invalid, the rest still applies.
